12 John Lewis finds to instantly upgrade your patio this summer — all less than £30

Looking to upgrade your patio in time for the summer? It can feel overwhelming — especially if you’re not particularly green-fingered or handy with DIY. I think I’ve found the solution, though — John Lewis’ outdoor department is crammed with excellent garden products that deliver plenty of impact for very little effort. Below, I’ve rounded up my top wallet-friendly picks, all coming in under £30 (and many of them quite a long way under).

Perhaps my pick of the bunch is the Fryce Solar Powered spotlight from Philips — one of our very favourite smart light brands. This one isn’t smart, but it is bright, weatherproof and ideal if you don’t have electrics outside. Otherwise, I’m all about the colourful weatherproof cushions, candle holders for atmospheric, flickering light that won’t extinguish the second there’s a light breeze, and nature-welcoming bee- and bird-boxes.
